Where to find us at BMICH
The whole exhibition sits in one hall on the southern edge of the BMICH grounds. Here is the floor plan, the way in, and where to leave the car.

Getting to the hall
- 01 Come in by the Main Gate The Main Gate sits on Bauddhaloka Mawatha, next to the guard room. Both main gate entrances lead onto the same internal drive.
- 02 Follow the drive past the Main Building Keep the octagonal BMICH Main Building on your left. The drive bends right and runs along the back of it.
- 03 Park at the Western Car Park The Western Car Park is on your right, just past the wash rooms. Leave the vehicle here and carry on by foot.
- 04 The hall is straight ahead Our hall is the blue and orange block on the plan, beside Halls A and B and facing Malalasekara Mawatha. Look for the arch at the entrance.
Good to know
- Other gates
- Gate No. 3 and Gate No. 3A open off Sarana Road on the far side of the grounds. Gate No. 4, also on Sarana Road, has the guard room and police post.
- Parking
- The Western Car Park is the closest to the hall. On busy evenings the grounds fill up quickly, so come early or use the Sarana Road entrances.
- Wash rooms
- Two sets: one beside the Western Car Park on your way in, and one just east of the hall next to Hall B.
- Finding your bearings
- Nugasewana, Mihilaka Madura and the Committee Rooms all sit north of the hall. If you reach them you have walked one block too far.
